Parish Plan Exhibition of Responses (April 13th 2008)
Following the recent consultation process regarding the creation of a village plan, an exhibition of responses was held in Welwick Village Hall on Sunday 13th April 2008. A number of themes have emerged from the initial consultation and the exhibition gave villagers an opportunity to read the responses and talk to members of the steering group along with Karen Wood, Rural Partnership Manager with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Once the comments have been thoroughly analysed a more detailed questionnaire will be prepared, based on the emerging themes of environment, social interaction, transport and facilities with a view to developing a ‘comprehensive’ five-year plan for the villages.
Illustrated are some photos taken on the day:

Grant Success For Parish Plan (Feb 2008)
A grant application made to Awards for All has met with success. An amount of £1700 has been given to finance the production of a five year plan for the village. The money will be used towards financing meetings and events to obtain villagers views of what they would like for the future of Welwick. Ultimately the production of the findings will be circulated to all residents, the cost of which will also be met by the money from this grant.
