It is with great sadness that I report the death of Bernard Blashill, affectionately know as the Welwick Relick. Bernard was involved in an accident on North Lane on Friday afternoon. He was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary but sadly died there. Bernard was well known for his tireless work for charity and the annual Heritage Weekend. He had been a Parish Councillor for nearly 50 years. He will be sadly missed by his many friends.
